Hello! I welcome queries about your manuscript.

A former staff reporter and editor at Newsweek, I am the author of two novels and have collaborated on three books with well-known journalists.

My journalism has appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, Reuters, Fortune and the like. My essays, short stories and poetry have appeared in many literary journals, including The Hudson Review and the Michigan Quarterly Review. My degree is in English Literature from Yale.

I will give you flawless grammar, polish your style without changing your voice and reorganize your materials for clarity if needed. I will also give you a written evaluation of your work, with suggestions for any other ways you might enhance your material or take it further. I’ll share my own experience to discuss your potential audience and sales.

If you’d like to discuss your editing project, please email me at TemmaE@gmail.com.

“Temma and I have had a long professional and personal relationship and I would hire her anytime for anything.”  Jane Bryant Quinn, former columnist at the Washington Post, Newsweek, and Bloomberg

“I entrusted Temma with one of our most important assignments, the Business Roundtable, in which Newsweek surveys the biggest minds in the world of business on the critical economic issues of the day. Temma always delivered. Temma is sweet, intelligent, interesting and funny. In short, she is one of a kind.”

David Jefferson,  formerly Senior Editor, Newsweek

“Temma is a fine editor, with a knack for getting along with writers; an excellent writer herself; and an effective reporter.”

Roger Draper, Chief Copyeditor McKinsey & Company
